The bistro is the heart of our facility. In addition to the effective bistro, it also houses the hostel reception and the brewhouse of the Seeland Bräu pub brewery.
Next to the bar, 13 tables offer space for 48 people to eat and drink. 2 sofas and a fireplace provide additional coziness.
Our motto is: “keep it simple”! That’s why we serve at the bar in the bistro. There are no placemats and no 7 rows of cutlery and glasses! Comfort and well-being are the most important things.
To order food on the terrace, we need the table number of the respective table.
Only French fries are permitted for eating on the lawn. All other dishes must be eaten at the tables.
We try to use organic and/or local suppliers and producers wherever possible. The majority of our meat is organic or Demeter quality. Fisch ist entweder Wildfang vom Bielersee oder Zuchtfisch aus der Innnerschweiz. Ausnahmen werden extra deklariert. Gemüse kommt aus dem Seeland und ist IP zertifiziert.
Due to our small kitchen, we cannot offer a large menu. Every lunchtime we offer 2 daily menus, a daily pasta and a weekly hit. We also frequently offer seasonal salads. All these offers are also available in the evening.

All menus include a green salad or, during the cold season, either a soup or a green salad as a starter.

Half board and/or full board can be booked by groups of 10 people or more.
Depending on the number of people, the respective daily menus or separate menus are served. Menu requests can only be considered in exceptional cases.

You can put together a special menu for groups and events of all kinds. Send us an inquiry using the “Request group menu” form.
However, the request must be made at least 2 weeks before the desired date. A maximum of two different menus are possible per group (meat/fish and vegetarian/vegan).
We will process and answer your request as quickly as possible.
The fact that the “Seeland Bräu” brewery is located in the building naturally explains why our organic beer is the main beverage sold.
Nevertheless, guests who don’t like beer don’t have to die of thirst. Most of the usual “soft drinks”, various organic syrups, coffee, tea, organic wines from Lake Biel and Italy, as well as various international and local spirits, some of which are also organic, are available from us.
We do not sell all types of alcopops and similar mixed drinks with alcohol.
